Global Climate Change Study
People consider climate change a serious threat to humanity and do not see governments taking action. Argentines are more critical of companies and governments than the global average.
On this occasion, we share the Climate Change and Sustainability Report from WIN's annual Global Survey conducted in 39 countries. The survey analyzes opinions related to the perception of climate change in 2021 and the importance of sustainable development worldwide. Voices!, WIN's member in Argentina, conducted the survey in the country.
Some findings in Argentina:
- 9 out of 10 citizens consider global warming to be a serious threat to humanity, somewhat higher than the world average.
- when asked about whether it is too late to stop climate change, we found divided opinions (44% believe it is and 45% think that it is not).
- the vast majority of Argentine respondents (84%) say that their personal actions can improve the environment.
- When asked if the real efforts around sustainability and the environment should be undertaken by companies and government rather than individuals, 77% of Argentines agree, with this belief growing 16 points versus the previous measurement in 2020.
- 8 out of 10 Argentines surveyed believe that natural disasters have increased due to global warming.
- 63% of Argentines believe that governments are not taking the measures needed to care for the environment.
