7 out of 10 people worldwide are concerned about sharing their personal information online.

The survey of more than 25,000 respondents in 40 countries was designed to understand people's attitudes towards sharing personal data with businesses. The study was conducted by WIN (Worldwide Independent Network for Market Research) and ESOMAR, the global data and insights industry association. Voices! conducted the study in Argentina.

Some findings of the study: 

  • Globally, a large majority of the population is very concerned about sharing personal data online. 
  • More than half of the world's population has been victim of the misuse of their personal data.
  • In Argentina, concern about sharing personal data online reaches 6 out of 10 inhabitants.
  • In Argentina, 1 in 3 respondents say they know what happens to the information they share.
