Research on Health

Half of Argentinians do not practice physical activity and most of the population think they should change their alimentary habits.

The Social Research Centre (CIS) UADE - Voices! carried out a national public opinion study with the aim of analyzing citizens' perceptions of different aspects related to health problems.

Some findings of the study:

  • 8 out of 10 interviewees rated their health positively: 26% very good and 54% good.
  • Almost 7 out of 10 (66%) consulted a doctor in the last 12 months for a check-up, while 34% did not.
  • 7 out of 10 interviewees stated that they are informed about healthy eating.
  • Healthy behaviors: 75% said they had read the expiration dates of the products, 64% said they had controlled their weight, another 47% said they had read the labels to see the list of ingredients of the products, 46% said they had controlled the fat they ate, 45% controlled their cholesterol, another 41% consumed low-calorie products, 33% were attentive to new healthy products and 26% had consumed organic products.
